Heavy Metal Steel (HMS1)

HMS 1 refers to a specific grade of heavy melting steel scrap. It is generally made up of clean steel scrap that comes from sources such as steel structures, scrapped cars, appliances, and industrial scrap.

Quality: HMS 1 is typically higher quality than HMS 2 because it consists of cleaner, larger, unprepared steel pieces, such as steel plates, I-beams, and rails.

Size: The material is generally larger, heavier sections of steel, typically with fewer contaminants (such as rust or non-ferrous materials) compared to HMS 2.

Use: It is highly recyclable and is commonly used in steel mills for the production of new steel products.
